2000HP Drilling Rig Solids Control System Delivered to Indian Drilling Company

GN Solids Control is proud to announce the successful delivery of a complete solids control system for a 2000HP drilling rig to a major drilling company in India. This high-capacity system was entirely designed and manufactured by GN Solids Control, showcasing the company’s advanced engineering capabilities and commitment to providing high-quality solids control equipment for international oil and gas projects.

The delivered system includes a GNZYQ1200A Poor Boy Degasser (Mud-Gas Separator), installed as the first-stage safety equipment to remove large volumes of free gas from the drilling fluid. Following the degasser, three units of GNZS594K linear motion shale shakers are utilized for primary solids removal, ensuring efficient handling of large fluid volumes while maintaining consistent performance under tough field conditions.

To enhance gas removal, one GNZCQ360 Vacuum Degasser is also included, which eliminates fine gas bubbles from the drilling fluid to prevent potential downhole issues. For finer solid separation, the system features a GNZJ594K-2S12N Mud Cleaner, which integrates desander and desilter hydrocyclones with a bottom shaker, effectively removing medium and fine particles from the drilling mud.

The system includes 9 centrifugal sand pumps, used to feed hydrocyclones and transfer fluids between tanks. To support mud mixing and storage, 10 large-capacity mud tanks are supplied, along with 19 heavy-duty mud agitators and 17 high-pressure mud guns to ensure uniform mixing and prevent sedimentation.

Two jet mud mixing hoppers are installed to enable quick and efficient preparation of drilling fluids on site. A complete explosion-proof electrical control system is also provided, ensuring safe and reliable operation under hazardous drilling conditions
