As a representative of GN Solids America, I recently had the privilege of attending the annual WWETT (Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport) Convention in Indianapolis, IN. This event brought together industry professionals from across the nation, and it was a fantastic opportunity to network, exchange insights, and explore the latest advancements in wastewater management solutions.
The WWETT Convention serves as a pivotal platform for companies in the septic, water clarification, waste water, and other pumping industries to address the evolving landscape of wastewater treatment. With a growing emphasis on sustainable practices, many businesses are now exploring innovative methods to mitigate their wastewater, focusing on cost-effectiveness while also considering the potential for their solid byproducts to play a role in the biofuels industry.
During my time at the convention, it became increasingly clear that there is a pressing need for companies in our sector to refine their processes. Efficient treatment and clarification of wastewater are crucial, especially as many attendees shared that small septic companies typically incur costs of around $40,000 per month for wastewater disposal. This staggering figure underscores the importance of investing in effective separation technologies.
Our shale shakers, augers, and mud agitators garnered significant interest—a testament to their utility in removing coarse solids and conditioning slurries for use in centrifuges. The result? An efficient separation process that significantly reduces the volume of waste and, in turn, the overall disposal costs. By owning and utilizing separation equipment, businesses can dramatically lower their operational expenses, with many finding that the equipment pays for itself in a remarkably short timeframe.
This being our first year at the WWETT Convention, we were not only impressed by the turnout but also motivated by the clear demand for high-quality, fairly priced separation solutions. Many competitors in the industry have opted to sell knockoff equipment at inflated prices, often lacking the engineering support required to ensure optimal performance. At GN Solids, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and innovation, ensuring that our customers receive the best products combined with knowledgeable support from our team of engineers.
In summary, the WWETT Convention opened our eyes to the immense potential in the wastewater management sector, and we are excited to be part of this transformative journey. The shift towards effective wastewater handling—driven not just by regulatory requirements but also by the potential for resource recovery in biofuels—is a trend we wholeheartedly support.
We look forward to continuing our partnerships with septic and pumping companies as we help them enhance their operations through our reliable, cost-efficient separation equipment. Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our booth and discuss how we can help you streamline your processes. Together, let’s embrace innovative approaches to changing the wastewater landscape for the better!
