GN Centrifuge for OBM treating in COSL

GN Solids Control Co. Ltd. manufactures about 300 sets of decanter centrifuges every year. Most GN centrifuges are using in oil and gas industry. GN decanter centrifuges are especially designed for OBM and WBM treating.
GN just provided one set of decanter centrifuge to COSL (China Oilfield Services Ltd.), which is the leading oil service company in China. This GN centrifuge is used to treat oil drilling cuttings. In order to have a better separating performance, GN equips one chemical system.
This oil sludge system including: one storage tank, one automatic chemical feeding system and one VFD decanter centrifuge GNLW363.

The working process is as follows:
1. The oil drilling cuttings will be pumped to the storage tank by a vacuum pump after diluted with water. The storage tank can be replaced be a separated compartment in GN mud tank.
2. GN screw pump will pump the oil sludge and feed it into decanter centrifuge GNLW363CG-VFD which is the high version centrifuge with variable speed.
3. There’s a flocculants mixing unit between the storage tank and GN centrifuge. All the chemicals will be added and mixed thoroughly before feeding into GNLW363 centrifuge.
More solids can be separated out by adding chemicals. Solids come out from decanter centrifuge will be transferred by a screw conveyor to a catching tank. Fluids will be collected in another storage tank for further separation.
The treating capacity of GN decanter centrifuge varies on mud density and viscosity. Cut point is near 5 microns, which means solids that larger than 5 microns can be separated out. When using flocculants or polymers, more solids can be separated out.
GN Solids Control provided one set of dewatering unit to over abroad client with automatic flocculent systems and decanter centrifuge. They are also using GN shale shakers and mud cleaners to make some primary separation.
