GN shaker and centrifuge for treating soils, sludges and waste

GN Solids Control has been working on solids and liquid separation for many years. GN Solids Control equipment have been largely used in the various industries which include oil and gas, diamond drilling, core drilling, mining, dredging solids control. With those successful experiences, GN shaker and centrifuge can also be used in treating soils, sludges and waste in the construction area. 

As more and more cities paying great attention on the waste slurry control, the hydro vac waste need to be treated before reuse. Recently, GN Solids Control just provided one set of whole treating system by using coarse shaker, finer shaker, mud cleaner and decanter centrifuge to treat the hydro vac waste. Those waste are usually different when deliverd to this customer’s work site, most the waste has a very high precentage solids which ranges 30~ 80%. 

The working process of this GN system is as following shows: 

1. GN Coarse Shaker

One large feeding hopper is used to collect all those discharged vac waste. Large rocks are left in the feeding hopper first. For those soils or sludges, GN coarse shaker is used to separated out those most of the solids part by using polyurethane openning shaker screen (2mm). One submersible pump is fixed under the coarse shake tank, so the slurry can be pumped to GN finer shaker. 

2. GN Fine Shaker

The working pinciple of GN finer shaker is almost the same as the coarse shaker. Just the size the finer shaker (assembled with 4 pcs screens) is much smaller than coarse shaker (assembled with 10 pcs screens). GN finer shaker is using polyurethane screens which is 1 mm. Solids separated out by GN finer shaker are very good sands although they’re a little wet. 

3. GN Mud Cleaner

There is one middle tank between finer shaker and mud cleaner, mud agitators are assembled in this middle tank to keep the slurry rotating. Here the solids separated by GN mud cleaner are better quality sands. 

4. GN Centrifuge

GN centrifuge is mainly used to separated out the solids larger than 2~5 microns. By adding some chemicals with a polymer adding unit, GN centrifuge is able to separate out almost all those solids part. 

All those above treated solids can be used to manufacture construction materials, while the water can be recylyed to wash rocks or sands.
