GN Upgraded Solidification/ Fixation Unit

GN Solids Control has many experienced solids control and drilling waste management engineers who have been working in this area for many years. Just some days before, GN Solids Control finished the manufacturing of one set Solidification/ fixation unit. This is one largely upgraded solidification unit which are improved and modified by taking advantage of those former valuable feedbacks from various worksites. 

GN Solids Control is the first manufacture who provided this equipment for drilling cuttings treatment. The solidification unit also called fixation unit sometimes. By using a high shear to mix those cuttings with certain cements and absorbers, all cuttings with large fluids will be effectively treated to a solid formation which can be carried by using truck to some other places for further treatment or for can be discharged to the nature directly without pollute the environment. 

GN Solidification Unit is a equipment that will have chemical and physical reaction. It is especially designed for oil cuttings and water cuttings treatment with a relative low cost, which is pretty important to global clients due to the low oil price. Treating capacity reaches to 15 m3/h. 

So what’s the main parts included in one GN Solidification Unit:

1. Cutting Storage Hopper

One storage hopper (capacity 5m3/h) is used to hold those cuttings before feeding to the high shear with a screw conveyor. 

2. Two chemical storage boxes

One is used to storage cement and the other is used to storage absorber. There is one screw conveyor under the storage box to transport these chemicals to the high shear mixer. The feeding speed of those screw conveyors can be adjusted by using VFD control box.

3. High shear Mixer

The power of high shear mixer is 45 kw, which provided a large shear force to mix those cuttings with chemicals thoroughly. 

All treated cuttings fall off to the bottom waste bin, where a support frame is optional in order to have a higher working position.
