GN WBM Treating System for CNPC
GN Solids Control has provided many sets of drilling waste management systems to over 60 countries. Now GN system can deal with WBM (water base mud) or OBM (oil base mud), which will be a pretty cost effective drilling waste management system if the drilling companies need to deal with these two mud separately.
GN Solids Control just provided one set of WBM system to one Beijing oil service company, and this WBM system will be used by CNPC.
The main equipments in this system including:
1. GN Hi-G Shaker
GN Hi-G Shaker is especially designed for WBM waste management. By using GNZS594HGE-LD, the Hi-G shaker can reach to the treating capacity of six hundred GPM. There’re four pieces of shaker screens on the Hi-G shaker, after treated by GN shaker the water on the cuttings is around 20% to 30 %, and the oil in the cuttings is less than 5%.
GN Hi-G shaker will treat the drilling fluids that separated by shaker in advance, the cuttings can be further dealt by thermal treating equipments or solidification equipments. On the other side, the fluids discharged from Hi-G shaker will be sent to the decanter centrifuge.

2. GN Decanter Centrifuge
GN decanter centrifuge is one of the most cost-effective products comparing with some other large brands. Now GN has many types, the rotating bowls are different from 9 inch, 14 inch, 18 inch and 22 inch. Here the client is using GNLW363CG-VFD which speed can be changed easily by the VFD control cabinet. The treating capacity of this centrifuge depends on the mud density and viscosity; usually the treating capacity can reach to 130 GPM for GNLW363.
GN Centrifuge will separate the fluids that come out from Hi-G shaker, it can help to separate the solids that larger than 5 microns.

3. GN Screw Pump
GN positive displacement pump is an effective pump to transfer the solids and drilling muds without agitating the mud. This system has two screw pumps GNG30A-075, one is used for transferring the mud and the other is used for feeding the decanter centrifuge.
