HDD Mud Recycling System Delivered to Middle East Customer by GN Solids Control

GN Solids Control is pleased to announce the successful delivery of a complete HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) Mud Recycling System to a valued customer in the Middle East. The system was fully designed and manufactured by GN Solids Control to support trenchless drilling operations such as pipeline crossing, utility tunneling, and underground cable installation. The delivery demonstrates GN’s strong technical expertise and global reach in providing cost-effective, reliable mud treatment systems for the HDD industry.

This customized package includes two sets of 1000GPM mud recycling systems. Each system features two high-efficiency shale shakers and one integrated mud cleaner. The shale shakers are used for primary solids separation, efficiently removing large cuttings from the drilling fluid. The mud cleaner integrates both desander and desilter hydrocyclones with a bottom shaker, allowing for the removal of finer solids and maximizing fluid recovery.

In addition to the solids control equipment, GN provided two mud storage tanks, used to hold processed drilling mud for reuse. These tanks ensure a steady supply of conditioned mud for continuous drilling operations, helping reduce the need for fresh mud and lowering overall operational costs.

The project also includes three mixing tanks, each equipped with mixing hoppers and mud agitators. These tanks are designed for the preparation and conditioning of drilling fluids, enabling operators to mix bentonite, polymers, and other additives as needed for varying geological formations.
